444.850 Repeater PL Tone changed

EGARA's UHF repeater on 444.850 has a new transmit PL tone of 123.0. The change was made to mitigate possible interference with other repeater systems in the region. The old PL tone of 94.8 will no longer access the machine.

The 444.850 repeater is located on the north face Heldernerg Mountain escarpment in New Scotland, NY, approximately 11 miles east of downtown Albany. The repeater operates from the former analog tower of WTEN-TV and is at a height of 1,620 feet with an Effective Radiated power of 750 watts. Coverage includes New York's greater Capital Region, Western Massachusetts, and southern Vermont.

EGARA's other repeaters will continue to use a PL tone of 94.8.
